Mobius biodiesel is made using a simple process where the oils and alcohol are mixed together with a catalyst. This produces biodiesel (referred to as mono-esters) and glycerine. The process seems simple, but the technology is advanced.

Biodiesel is made by mixing and heating the three principle ingredients:

* Natural oils including -
        soybean oil
        canola oil
        used cooking oil
        coconut oil
        palm oil
        tallow

* Methanol

* Reagent - sodium hydroxide

A chemical reaction know as transesterification takes place during the mix. In this reaction, glycerine is stripped from the oil. The glycerine is removed, leaving monoesters - the biodiesel.
